But perhaps the most important factor that describes this limestone is the fact that it presents too many variations within the same quarry. For this reason, this limestone is named by layer (or banco – B). But below we present you the current variations that you may find for this limestone:

Azul Valverde B1

It presents a very uniform grey coloured background. This is considered the premium type of Azul Valverde, which is increasingly hard to find and prices are quite high.

Azul Valverde B2

A lighter version of the Azul Valverde B1 and with a less uniform background. It presents a slight different structure as well. It has small availability.

Azul Valverde B3

A completely different type of Azul Valverde, the B3 (or banco 3) presents a different structure (more solid, massif) with a beige and light blue colours. Quantities are also not much.

Azul Valverde Perlato

A very exclusive type of Azul Valverde, the Azul Valverde Perlato presents a very dark coloured background, with strong signs of fossils.

Amarelo Valverde

The yellow coloured variation of the Azul Valverde. The quantities of this exact variation are quite small, occasionally being found on a block or part of block. It is very hard to supply this variation.

Azul Valverde Mixed

It is a very particular variation, which is basically a mix between Azul Valverde B2 and Amarelo Valverde. The distribution of both colours is totally aleatory. Quantities are limited.
